If an employee dies due to an occupational injury or occupational disease, the insurance will pay a lump sum to spouses, registered partners, cohabitants (samboer/ektefelle) and children (barn) who were fully or partially supported by the deceased. Tu support the funeral there will be paid a lump sum (Begravelsesstønad) . The compensations are paid as tax-free lump sums. (the group life insurance is paid in addition to this).
The compensation amounts appear in the table below. The compensation for surviving children is calculated separately for each child the deceased supported, depending on their age.
